Novosibirsk region and strategic advantages for business Novosibirsk is the capital of Siberia, the third largest city in the Russian Federation. Today Novosibirsk has become the key economic center in Siberia for machine building, defense, aircraft building, construction, electric engeneering. Novosibirsk has got a vital role as a transport hub from West to East and vise versa, and as transshipment point for cargo moving to China, South Korea and Middle Asia. The strategic advantage of Novosibirsk's location, infrastructure, together with the TRANS-SIBERIAN railway, high eduational level and scientific potential is being recognized by a growing number of foreign companies who have set up their offices here. Russian market of children goods According to the Federal Service of Government Statistic the birth rate in Russia has risen from 1,2 millions in 2007 to 1,6 million of newborns in 2008 (increase – 133%).
